Who will cuddle them when they sleep?
Paige Pedlar Project: A Children’s Story
"Who Will Cuddle Them When They Sleep?"
Paige
Pedlar, was a 7 year-old child at the time that she authored a book
entitled, Who Will Cuddle Them When They Sleep? The book is
a plea to save AIDS orphans by funding AIDS orphanages and by making
available to women with HIV/AIDS the medications that prevent
transmission of the disease at child-birth. Paige’s book was
published through Rotary contacts in Rotary International District 7070 and was first read
at the Rotary Club of Toronto’s Stephen Lewis Luncheon in January ’04,
at the Royal York Hotel. In May, Paige was invited to read her book at
a meeting with Prime Minister Paul Martin and musician/activist Bono in
Ottawa.

Fifty
percent of the sale of each book will go to support AIDS initiatives in
Africa. The remaining funds will be used for the publishing,
communication needs and administrative costs. This book is an
excellent tool in developing the educational component of RADAR’s
program and will be especially important in future school programs at a
local level.
